Terms of Service
In force since August 18, 2026
These are the rules we work by. We tried to write them so that you would actually read them to the end.
The important parts first: a basic account is free and stays free. The memorial page for a pet that has died is free forever, whatever your plan. Your records are yours and you can take them with you at any time.
1.Who runs the service
pawfie is operated by Amica mea s.r.o., company number 11638915, registered office Zenklova 24/54, Libeň, 180 00 Prague 8, Czech Republic, entered in the commercial register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under file number C 352197.
Write to us at info@pawfie.eu. We usually reply within two working days.
2.What the service does
You keep a record of your pet's life: photos, moments, health entries, vaccination dates. When a pet dies, you can turn its profile into a memorial page and send the link to family and friends.
Shelters and breeders also get tools for the animals in their care and for animals looking for a home.
3.What the service is not
It is not a veterinary service and does not replace a vet. A reminder is a convenience, not medical advice — your vet decides on treatment, not our app.
It is not an official register. A record here does not replace a microchip database or a pedigree certificate.
4.Who may use it
You must be at least 16. An account is personal; do not pass your sign-in link on to anyone.
You create an account by entering your e-mail and clicking the link we send you. You do not invent a password, because we do not keep one.
5.Free and paid plans
The basic account is free. There is no trial that runs out and it does not stop working.
Paid plans add more photos, video and sharing with family. Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.
Shelters get the whole application free, permanently.
6.Prices and payment
Prices shown are final. We are not registered for VAT, so nothing is added to them.
Payments are handled by a payment provider; your card number never reaches us. You receive a receipt by e-mail.
7.The contract runs for an indefinite period
A paid plan is agreed for an indefinite period. Paying yearly is a way of paying, not the length of a commitment — you are not tied in for a year and nothing renews automatically for another year.
You therefore only ever pay for the period you have already bought, and you can leave at any time. The next two sections say how.
8.Withdrawal within 14 days
Within fourteen days of ordering you may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason and without any notice period. Use the “Withdraw from the contract” button in your account settings, or simply write to us.
We refund within fourteen days, in full — apart from a proportionate amount for the days the paid plan was actually running.
9.Termination at any time afterwards
After the fourteen days you may terminate the contract whenever you like. The notice period is one month.
Everything keeps working until it ends, and we refund whatever is left of the period you paid for. If you change your mind before the termination takes effect, one button takes it back.
The “End subscription” button is in your account settings, next to your plan.
10.Your content stays yours
The photos, text and records you upload are yours. They do not become ours and we do not sell them.
You give us only as much permission as we need to show them to you, store them and give them back — and, for content you publish yourself, to show it to visitors of that page.
By uploading, you confirm you have the rights to the content. Do not upload someone else's photo without their permission.
11.Public pages
A memorial page, and the page of a pet looking for a home, are published by you, not by us. Until you do that, the profile is visible only to you and to the people you invite.
Anyone can open and save a published page. You can unpublish it, but whatever someone copied in the meantime does not disappear. So do not publish anything you would mind having out in the open.
12.The memorial page is free forever
When a pet dies, the memorial page is created whatever your plan, and stays available even if you stop paying. People put that link in death notices and we do not want it to break.
The address of a memorial page never changes, and after an account is closed nobody else can take it.
What is paid for is the archive of photos and video, not the remembrance.
13.Condolences from visitors
On a memorial page, visitors can light a candle or write a message to the family. Messages are not published automatically — the family decides and can remove them.
There is no way to reply to individual messages. That is deliberate, not a missing feature: a grieving family should not have to answer dozens of them. One shared thank-you is enough.
14.What you must not do
You must not:
- upload content you do not have the rights to
- impersonate someone else, or create a profile for another person's pet without their knowledge
- offer animals for sale where the feature is meant for shelters
- work around plan limits, load the service with automated traffic, or test how far you get with someone else's account
- use the service for anything unlawful
15.Reporting unlawful content
If you find something unlawful on a public page, write to info@pawfie.eu. Tell us the address of the page and what you believe is wrong with it.
We assess it and remove it if it breaks the rules. We tell whoever uploaded it, and they can respond. We tell you what we decided.
16.When the service does not work
We cannot promise uninterrupted service. We aim for it, and we schedule maintenance for times when it disturbs nobody.
If a paid plan does not work for a longer period because of our fault, you are entitled to a fix, a reasonable discount, or to withdraw and get your money back.
We are liable for damage we cause. We are not liable for what you do with a reminder — your vet decides about your pet's health.
17.If we end the contract
We restrict or close an account only if you repeatedly break the rules or the law requires it. We tell you first and give you a chance to explain, unless the law prevents that.
In that case we refund the unused part of a paid plan. We remove memorial pages only when they themselves break the law.
18.If a subscription ends and you do not renew
We write to you about it first, well in advance. The account does not disappear — it returns to the free plan.
If nothing changes within thirty days of the end, we prepare an archive of the photos and video above the free allowance and send you a download link. Only then do we remove them from storage.
This does not apply to memorial pages. Those stay.
19.Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. We announce any substantial change by e-mail at least thirty days in advance.
If you do not agree with a change, you may terminate the contract without notice before it takes effect, and we refund the unused part.
20.Complaints and disputes
Write to us first — most things are settled that way. If we cannot agree, consumers may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz), which resolves disputes out of court and free of charge.
You may also go to court. Nothing here takes away rights given to you by the law of the country where you live.
21.Governing law
The contract is governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also keep the rights that your own country's law gives you.
22.Things we are still preparing
Some things are described on the site before they can be bought — you can tell because there is no purchase button. Until there is one, there is nothing to deliver and no delivery period is running.
