The public page

One address you can send to anyone.

Every animal can have a public page at pawfie.eu/p/ and its own ending. That address never changes and never redirects — people put it in death notices, so it has to work ten years from now.

You turn it on in the animal's profile and can turn it off at any time. Until you do, it does not exist: anyone guessing the address sees nothing.

Nothing reaches it from the private chronicle on its own. Only what you tick as “show on the public page” goes out — together with the photo that belongs to that entry. Other photos, health records and the chip number never leave. You can change that later: in the chronicle every entry has a “Show on the public page” button underneath it.

The page and each single memory can be shared from there. On a phone the usual sheet opens — Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger. On a computer the link is copied.

A visitor can send a heart and write a message under each published entry. The heart counts straight away. The message stays hidden until you release it — you will find it above the timeline, with Publish and Hide buttons. Only you as the owner decide; an editor in the household or a colleague at the shelter has no say.

Hiding a message does not delete it, it only removes it from the page. If anyone asks what happened to it, it can be traced.
