Phone notifications

A reminder that arrives without the app being open.

Besides e-mail, reminders can arrive as notifications on your phone. One button in Account turns them on, and the same button turns them off.

On iPhone this works only once you add the app to your home screen. Apple does not allow notifications for an ordinary page in Safari and gives no sign of it — so instead of a button you will see how to add the app. On Android and on a computer the button is enough.

Permission belongs to one browser on one device, not to the account. For notifications on both phone and computer, turn them on in both; clearing browser data means turning them on again.

If you refuse notifications outright, the app cannot ask again — that is the browser's rule, not ours. It can be changed in the browser's settings for this site.

E-mail reminders keep arriving whether notifications are on or not.
