Handing over to the new owner

The chronicle goes with the animal. It does not start from scratch.

Each animal has a “Hand over” option. It creates a QR code that the new owner scans with their phone, right there with you. They sign in with their e-mail and from that moment the animal is theirs — with every photo, entry and health record you put into the chronicle.

The code is valid for a limited time and is used once. If somebody changes their mind, they simply do not use it and nothing happens.

After the handover the shelter can no longer edit the animal. That is not a formality: from that moment it is somebody else's animal and its owner decides.

The new owner may leave the shelter a view of how the animal is doing. They decide, not you, and it is off by default — silence never means consent. If they agree, the animal appears on your page among the placed ones with its name and photo.

No classified-ads site has this: everyone else loses sight of the animal after adoption for good. You can show how your dogs are doing five years later.
